حیاط خلوت مجله تفریحی شامل جذاب ترین مطالب سرگرمی و سبک زندگی فرادید: آنجلینا جولی با حدود ۲۰ تن از دختران مهاجری ملاقات کرد که بر مبنای گزارش سازمان ملل متحد همه شان قربانی تجاوز جنسی و یا خشونت جنسی شده اند. این دختران از درگیری‌های داخلی کنگو، سودان جنوبی، سومالی، بروندی و رواندا گریخته‌اند و بیشتر آنها قربانی خشونت‌های جنسیتی و جنسی شده‌اند.
این هنرپیشه ۴۲ ساله در جریان این دیدار گفت: «اینها نه تنها باید از خشونت شدید و تعقیب فرار می کردند، بلکه همه چیزشان را از دست داده و مرگ اعضای خانواده شان را نیز دیده اند و آنها به شدت مورد سوء استفاده قرار گرفته اند، به آنها بی احترامی شده و رنج بسیاری کشیده اند».
آمار سازمان ملل متحد می رساند که در حال حاضر در کنیا ۴۹۰ هزار مهاجر از کشورهای سومالیا، سودان جنوبی، کنگو، بروندی و دیگر کشورهای این منطقه افریقایی زندگی می کنند. شمار زیادی از این مهاجران افریقایی در سال های اخیر راه مهاجرت به سوی اروپا را در پیش گرفته اند و هزاران تن شان در دریای مدیترانه جان باخته اند.

The UN Special Envoy for Refugees, Angelina Jolie visited British Peace Support Team East Africa (BPST(EA)) on Tuesday 20th June 2017, with the purpose of maintaining momentum on the Preventing Sexual Violence in Conflict Initiative (PSVI). She will do this by gaining insight into training on sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) and meeting key stakeholders, including the Kenyan government, civil society actors, UK military and civilian trainers.Tackling sexual violence remains a top UK priority. The PSVI priorities are: Progress in tackling the stigmatisation of survivors of sexual violence in conflict Increasing justice and accountability for survivors of sexual violence in conflict Enhancing the integration of gender perspectives into military and peacekeeping doctrine and operationsSince the Global Summit in 2014 the UK has continued to lead on ending sexual violence in conflict. Since 2012, over 17,000 Military and Police personnel have been trained on sexual violence issues, and the PSVI Team of Experts has been deployed 84 times. £۴۰m in UK funding has been committed so far. The UK has a number of influential Champions of this agenda, including the Prime Minister’s Special Representative on PSVI, Lord Ahmad, and the Vice Chief of Defence Staff, General Sir Gordon Messenger, who continue to drive international momentum on this issue.The UK is building on existing achievements, by encouraging further training on the International Protocol on the Documentation and Investigation of Sexual Violence in Conflict, promoting UK military expertise on sexual violence issues and providing further support to affected communities.
